Reflecting on the year that was

It’s this time of year that we so often reflect on the year that was. For me it was a year of change. Having worked directly in manufacturing for nearly 25 years from shop floor to top management and everything in between I felt it was time to pay it forward. A time to give back to the manufacturing community that gave me so much and in a way that was to be meaningful and fulfilling. In March I joined EMC as your Field Service Advisor.

To the members I’ve met,

Thank you for letting me in. I’ve met so many amazing manufacturers doing so many exciting things. I’ve enjoyed learning about you, your company and the great things you’re doing. I’ve enjoyed sharing with you my many career lessons learned, experiences and perhaps a little helpful advice. I hope it’s been beneficial so far and continues to be. To those of you that hosted in 2018, thank you. We all like participating in SIG events but without hosts there are no events. If you haven’t hosted recently please consider it for 2019 and send me a quick note so we can get you on the calendar.

To those I have yet to meet,

If you fall into this group take a minute to send me a quick reply so we can arrange to get together real soon. I hope we can find ways to make you and your company a little better. Afterall that’s what it’s all about, continuous, sustainable, incremental improvement. I look forward to supporting you and your goals in 2019.

Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year!

Sincerely,

Wernher
