Well, 2019 has certainly been such an amazing and very ambitious year in regard to the Manufacturing Essentials Certification (MEC) Program!

We are so pleased with the success that we have experienced and enjoyed during this past year working on the MEC program.  Since the beginning of the project in Spring 2018 we have been able to proudly certify 360 graduates across Canada.

To re-cap the 2019 MEC sessions,  we have created a short video to share all of the group graduation photos with everyone which you can view here.

The MEC Program is an initiative designed to help manufacturers increase their workforce productivity and become more competitive in a growing global marketplace.

EMC provides training programs for two key occupations – Supervisor and Production Workers.

The MEC – For Production Worker Certificate program is designed to engage production workers in continuous improvement methods and projects to support increased results on productivity of their companies and better employee engagement.

The MEC – For Supervisors Certificate program is designed for Supervisors and Managers to encourage the development of critical thinking, leadership and team management skills with increased results on productivity, better workplace and team functioning and employee engagement.

For more information on the program Click Here to visit our website where you can find further details and some great videos.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the participating manufacturers during this past year and for contributing to the great success of the MEC Program.  It is truly appreciated! This Certification for each of the graduates will make such a positive change in their day-to-day responsibilities, while contributing to the great success of their companies.

Our Team at EMC is also looking forward to an exciting 2020 and will soon be starting to coordinate Programs for the remaining funded Seats for the MEC Production Worker and Supervisor Programs.  Additionally, we look forward to finalizing details for commercialization of the MEC Program.

On behalf of our entire Team at Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium, we would like to wish you and your families a wonderful holiday season and a very prosperous New Year!
