Already two months into 2020 and EMC Members in SW Ontario have participated in 3 great SIG events!

We started the year with a packed room at OES Inc in London Ont to hear about Cyber Security for Manufacturers, something all companies need to be aware of for sure. Scott McNeil-Smith, who Manages EMC's Cyber Security Program gave a great (and scary) overview of all the things manufacturers need to think about around cyber security. The group then got to see some really cool stuff on OES Inc's plant floor, especially in the scoreboard manufacturing facility.

Next stop was in Chatham to visit Dajcor Aluminum, another standing room only event. At this session we reviewed EMC GPS and LMI info on SW Ontario. By far the biggest concern for manufacturers in SW Ont is finding people. We also launched EMC's MEC Training initiatives in SW Ont. The group then enjoy an in-depth Plant tour of Dajcor seeing some very impressive things this EMC Member is doing!

Our third session of 2020 brought us to Brose in London, where we had a overflow crowd to see how Brose is implementing digitization and industry 4.0 into there maintenance department, with plans to get the entire plants hooked up by 2025. Brose is doing some amazing things around connecting machines and processes and data collection. The again enjoyed a great tour of this member facility.

It has been great seeing over 250 SW Ont EMC Members at these sessions to start the year! More great sessions to come in 2020!

Next up, we will be at NRC Canada in London to talk about "How to Recruit the Best to your Organization". This session is March 31st and will include a tour of Surface Science Western.  For more info contact;
