Our EMC Learning Centre Team wishes you the very, very best of the season and a fabulous New Year too!

Without a doubt it has been an incredibly busy twelve months full of learning opportunities including public programming, in-house training, coaching, mentoring and customized sessions  - all of which have been enthusiastically delivered by our valued Training Providers from Coast to Coast!

What have we been up to?  Well, throughout 2019, we were pleased to have had participation in a number of Public Events including the 2-Day Lean Supervisor Course and 1-Day Programs on Value Stream Mapping and 5-S and Visual Management.

Special Congratulations to all of the graduates from these sessions!

Complimenting the above activities, Manufacturers in Northern Ontario have enjoyed participating in the LMS (Lean Management System) Program.  This Program which is proudly supported by Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC), FedNor and The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), is currently running in Thunder Bay and will finish in June 2020 with Project Presentations!

Over the course of ten modules, Participants in this special training initiative learn about Lean and Lean Management Systems, Leadership and Management of Change, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management and Controls, Accountability and Standard Work, Root Cause Problem Solving and Kaizen Facilitation – all while working on a Continuous Improvement project that will generate a 50K ROI!

It’s an exciting undertaking – and we wish all those who completed our LMS Program in 2019 our sincerest Congrats for a job well done!!
