After 19 years of passionate and dedicated service with the Excellence In Manufacturing Consortium (EMC), Bren de Leeuw, Vice President, Community Partnerships & Stakeholder Relations and Western Canada Operations is setting her sights on a well-deserved retirement and is looking forward to spending more time with her recently retired husband, Harvey, their children and six grandchildren.
Bren began her relationship with EMC in 2002 and has since helped shape and build the foundation of EMC. Having participated in EMC since the early days, and first as a member, she has always appreciated the value derived through networking with peers and connections made with others along their journeys.
Bren began her representation of EMC as a Field Service Advisor. Soon after she became a Sr. Field Service Advisor, Director of EMC’s Food, Beverage, Bio and Ag Programs, Sr. Community Development Manager, which lead her to her current positions of Vice President, Community Partnerships & Stakeholder Relations and of Western Canada Operations. It is safe to say that Bren has actively worked in almost every EMC Consortium from the East to the West Coast!
Bren has literally hundreds of thousands of kilometers behind her. She has facilitated countless networking events on topics including digital automation, talent acquisition, Lean, food safety and all points between! Over the years, she has attended hundreds of industry events, trade shows, and job fairs all supporting the manufacturing and related sectors in some way and has served on a number of Boards professionally and personally supporting sectoral and academic initiatives for industry.
With wonderful memories and the deepest gratitude for such a fulfilling career, Bren extends her sincere appreciation to all she has met along the way and truly values the relationships created, and the involvement of EMC’s members, Community Partners and Service Providers!
