The founders were Hans Heidolph Sr., his son Hans Heidolph Jr. and his son in law Dr. Rudolph Zinsser. In 1964, Hans Heidolph Jr. was appointed President. In 1994, Tony Solecki joined the company as General Manager, and in 1996 purchased the company.
The company recently celebrated its 60th anniversary with a company picnic, a sunset dinner cruise on the M.S. Chi-Cheemaun and an open house. Facility tours and refreshments were offered to the local community, which was attended by approximately 300 people.
Caframo is equally committed to community as it is to designing and building product. Corporately, the company supports community initiatives, non-profit organizations and service clubs in Wiarton, Georgian Bluffs, Owen Sound and surrounding areas in Grey and Bruce Counties. In the employees have selected one local charity each year since 2000 to support through fundraising efforts as a group. The past years efforts resulted in raising over $8,500 for the Peninsula District Shores School Breakfast Club.
The 80 employees are proud to be a part of this small Canadian manufacturing business in Bruce/Grey. Caframo is more than just a quality manufacturer; Caframo is a great place to work and here to stay.
