AWARD-WINNING: Everything at Beau’s starts with a real love for craft beer. The brew team is unrelentingly passionate about quality. Doing their best to create inspired recipes that pay respect to the longstanding traditions of beer-making, and at the same time bring the drinker a truly unique experience. Beau’s honoured with 2 prizes at Prescott Russell Excellence Awards Gala; Lug Tread Lagered Ale and Farm Table: Marzen win at National Organic Craft Beer Competition.
(VANKLEEK HILL – Nov. 13, 2015) Beau’s Brewery and two of its beers have recently been honoured with four more distinctions of excellence. The local craft brewery garnered two entrepreneurial awards from the United Counties of Prescott-Russell at their Excellence Awards Gala, held in Embrun on October 24. Beau’s also received word this week of two more awards earned in early November at the National Organic Craft Beer Competition: a First Place for Lug Tread, and a Second for Farm Table: Märzen.
Beau’s was awarded the title of “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the 12th edition of the Prescott Russell Excellence Awards Gala, recognizing outstanding businesses in the region – co-founders Tim and Steve Beauchesne, along with several family members and co-workers, were on hand to accept the award. At the end of the evening, the 2015 selection committee also awarded Beau’s the overall “Excellence Award” among local businesses.
The 9th Annual National Organic Craft Beer Competition recognizes excellence in certified organic beer-making. “Brewing award winning organic beers is a challenge few brewers can meet, and we admire those who choose to use sustainably grown organic ingredients despite possible limitations and expenses,” state organic brewing supply company Seven Bridges, which organizes the competition. Beau’s Lug Tread took first place in the Pale European Lager category, while Farm Table: Märzen took second place for Amber/Dark European Lagers.
These four additions bring the number of awards for the beers brewed by Beau’s to 50 – including an impressive 22 for the flagship lagered ale, Lug Tread. In total, Beau’s has won 86 awards and distinctions since opening its doors on July 1, 2006. A complete list of awards can be seen on their website.
