Arterra Wines Canada’s longstanding history dates back to 1874, when the company was originally founded as the Niagara Falls Wine Company. Over the years, the company has evolved with numerous acquisitions and marked significant milestones within the Canadian wine industry. Most recently, the company was acquired by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and the new Arterra Wines Canada was born. In the last five years, the company’s portfolio has received over 1,500 accolades and awards in national and international wine competitions. Today, Arterra Wines Canada operates three commercial wineries, five estate wineries and over 1,700 acres of premium vineyards in Canada’s wine regions.
