Value Stream Mapping - Charlottetown, PEI
To introduce participants to the concepts of value stream mapping of both current state and future state maps. Through the use of presentation, discussion and hands on mapping of a case study, participants will get a clear understanding of the techniques and benefits of becoming competent value stream mappers.
Value Stream Mapping is an essential tool for today’s organizations. In a world where change is constant and challenges are many, it is essential to have tools like value stream mapping to see through the mire. We often say, “when you have limited time, money and people, wouldn’t it be nice to know what to work on, in order, to maximize results?” By teaching participants how to map out the current state (understand how work currently flows, or doesn’t flow), they gain a wide understanding of the issues and why things are the way they are. It is only then they can begin to design an improved future state using prescribed questions to develop better, results driven future. This one day workshop gives participants the essential tools to begin their journey as value stream change agents.
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
• Develop current state and future state maps.
• Analyze the current state for improvement opportunities.
• Prioritize implementation of improvements based on strategic goals.
• Present desired future state change to value stream stakeholders.
