Congratulations Fall 2016 CMN Harvard Supervisory Certificate Program Graduates!
Once again, we have had another successful CMN – Harvard Supervisory Certificate Program, which involved Supervisors, Managers, Team Leads and Team Associates receiving their certification during the recent Fall 2016 session. By completing this certification, the participants will be able to make such a positive difference in their career paths, day-to-day responsibilities, and will be able to contribute to the success of their company. Further, these outstanding and successful participants will be able to positively affect those they lead and work with by directly applying what they have learned throughout this program.
The Canadian Manufacturing Network and Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium are excited about the opportunity to assist future participants and manufacturers with this great CMN – Harvard Supervisory Program throughout 2017.
The Fall 2016 Session of CMN – Harvard Supervisory Certificate Program has successfully wrapped up again for the year. This group of Supervisors, Managers, Team Leads, Team Associates, and their Managers from eight companies who came together on November 25th, 2016 to celebrate their successful completion of this program and to demonstrate their achievements during the completion of their project. Toromont CAT in Concord, Ontario, hosted this great event where the participants received certificates recognizing their efforts over these past 10 weeks. The innovative companies who participated in this session include: Baytech Plastics, Canplas Industries Ltd., Enviroshake, Food For Tots, Multivans, Napoleon/Wolf Steel Ltd., Oetiker Limited, and Paradigm Precision.
Participants who complete the CMN – Harvard Supervisory Certificate Program, in partnership with Harvard Business Publishing, obtained and developed their supervisory skills in topics including Problem Solving, Difficult Interactions, Health and Safety, Team Building, Leadership, and Coaching Skills. During the 10 weeks, the participants not only attended weekly Webinars, but also enhanced their knowledge through online learning modules, collaborated through a Knowledge Network Forum, and prepared a Workplace Performance Project, which geared towards solving a problem or creating a new opportunity for their company. The projects presented by this session’s participants are expected to collectively increase profitability, productivity, and/or save the companies thousands of dollars and/or wasted time. This session’s Workplace Performance Projects tackled such challenges as:
- Preferred Suppliers Rating System
- Key State Growth
- Quality Process Standards Program
- Purchase Process Improvement Plan
- Process Re-Engineering
- P.E.A.C.E. (Perform Efficiently & Always Cost Effective)
- P.A.P.E.R. (Paperless Assignment Process Electronic Release)
- Project O.M.A. (Obsolete Material Avoidance)
The Fall 2016 Session participants are directly contributing to the overall Workplace Performance Projects (2009-2016), representing a total impact of millions of dollars in cost, time, and efficiency savings in Canadian Manufacturing workplaces. Since 2009, this program has certified 301 participants with more than 92 manufacturers.
