The Global Skills Connection Series is intended to give Manufacturers a high-level overview of the Immigration process to prepare an organization to begin using foreign recruitment to fill their vacant positions
How do newcomers first come to Canada? In this section we will review the more common pathways that are available to newcomers. Learn the basic meanings of visitors, temporary workers, students, and permanent residents, and the steps they can take toward immigration. Better understand the meaning of Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs), and some strategies to overcoming hiring barriers. What are federal programs, provincial programs, PNP, AIPP, SNIP, and more?

Bio: With 15 years of experience in global HR, recruitment, and immigration services - Denis is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC #R533327) and a member in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC).
Denis has supplied immigration support for some of Canada’s largest corporations including industries in high tech, manufacturing, transportation, finance, and agriculture, and has led recruitment missions to Mexico, Peru, Ukraine, UK, Poland, Romania, Vietnam, and more. Denis has helped hundreds of people and families on their pathways to Canada.
