Some companies report that Continuous Improvement activity is viewed as “something we will get to later, when we have more time”.  Is this true for you?  With so much going on, have you noticed a slip in employee (or leadership) commitment to making daily improvement?  With the COVID-19 pandemic, manufacturers have experienced major bottlenecks due to disruptions in normal operations and reduced workforce; it may feel like the passion for improvement has thinned out.  With the “new norms” we are getting accustomed to, how do you ensure your employees remain engaged in continuous improvement?

In this session, we’ll discuss challenges many manufacturers are facing with sustaining focus on their continuous improvement programs.  Join your peers to discuss and share the many challenges (and solutions!) to sustaining efforts in continuous improvement.

About our Speaker:  Our guest presenter, Devin Melanson, is Senior Advisor at Value Stream Solutions Inc.  His 25-year manufacturing career includes P&L accountability for consumer electronics, military, automotive, point of purchase retail, and aerospace.  He has worked as an assembler, QC operator, team leader, supervisor, manager, plant manager, and as a multi-site Director of Operations.  He is equally at home speaking to teams on the shop floor, logistics, engineering, maintenance, and the ownership group in the boardroom.

Devin now focuses on sharing his enthusiasm for waste reduction and team building with clients ranging from farming to pharmaceutical, and mining through to manufacturing and field service.  He does this by teaching and coaching both the employees and the leadership team how to work together to drive waste out of the business.
