Value …ˈval-yü the worth of something, the importance of something. The dictionary describes value in a few ways, but our ongoing cooperation with the Department of Labour and Advanced Education (LAE) makes it hard to really nail down one definition. Eighteen programs for manufacturers (scroll to the bottom to see some of the local manufacturers who are supporting and using this activity) wrapped up recently covering essential topics such as Communication for Supervisors, Essential Productivity Skills, Intermediate Excel for Manufacturers, Facilitation Skills for Manufacturers and the list goes on…

Actually none were from near and all were from far as the event took place at Acadian Seaplants Limited’s (ASL) facility in Charlesville a corner of the province not visited frequently. The event focused on the company who are recent winners of Nova Scotia’s Exporter of the Year award and the path of Continuous Improvement they are on.
