A group of enthusiastic Eastern Ontario Human Resources and Health and Safety EMC members gathered at the Invista Centre in Kingston last spring to generate ideas and share best practices that would help to bring their Orientation Programs in line with changes in their hiring/retention programs and with changing employee expectations.

The Winchester Parmalat Cold Storage Plant was packed with members and guests interested in learning about Supply Chain Management. Ross Cooper, gave an informative overview and introduced Lorraine Chambers, Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council who outlined the role of their organization. Ian McFall and John Esford of Burnbrae Farms, an EMC member plant in Lyn, Ontario, provided a comprehensive presentation of their company and its progressive supply chain management program.
