In just a few weeks we are ready to kick off another exciting fall line-up of EMC Food Sector Networking Events! If I sound excited, I truly am – in fact, our entire Team is! There are so many excellent activities taking place over the course of the next few months - “mixing” interesting dialogue and alternative perspectives, “stirring“ creative thought, and “heating” up our performance (so we can “cool” down the competition)! It’s through peer interaction, timely topics and informative plant tours – we become inspired to do the best we can with all of the key ingredients (product, people, processes) that our companies have at hand!
There are also opportunities to unravel of the mystery around Lean and Lean Methodologies in our GF2 Productivity Workshops! And, from the comfort of your own computer, for those with a mindset on CI, a chance to discover our new GF2 Self-Diagnostic Tool…
Capping these informative opportunities, EMC is also extremely pleased to be supporting two key Summits this fall which are bringing industry leaders and subject matter experts to the table for you to learn from and connect with: Strategy Institute’s North American 7th Annual Food Regulatory and Quality Assurance Summit in October and the 5th Annual Canadian Food Summit hosted by the Conference Board of Canada in November.
A few words on our Food Sector activities for those who may not be familiar with our programs. EMC’s GF2 Food, Beverage and Bio Sector Initiative (highlighted in green below) is enabling Food, Beverage and Bio Processors and Manufacturers across Ontario to enhance global competitiveness, build labour productivity and create new sector resources. As such, if you are interested in participating in our GF2 Funded Networking Events and Workshops outlined below to bolster your knowledge with respect to labour productivity initiatives, lean productivity, tools and opportunities within your organization, we would be delighted to have you do so. A simple RSVP is all that is required to attend.

EMC National Online SIG Event (Webinar):
16-Sep-16 – HFS – Healthcare Food Services
Leadership in Manufacturing
Fostering a positive culture around operations can come from anywhere in the organization not just the top. Leadership can have a significant impact and make good things happen. Our Speaker, Brad McKay, CEO, HFS – Healthcare Food Services, shares his insights on leadership models, creating positive change, and positioning your company for future growth.
“The best way to test whether a person can lead rather than just manage is to ask them to create positive change”, says author John Maxwell. Are you capable of accomplishing positive change in your organization?
This National Online SIG Event is an excellent example of openly sharing thoughts and perspectives. It’s an opportunity to listen and participate from the comfort of your desk! Previously hosted by HFS in Ottawa as a GF2 Food Sector Peer Networking Event on May 10th, 2016, Brad’s presentation was extremely well received. Our Speaker is dynamic and informative and we would be thrilled to have you join in! To register for this event, please contact Joan Richard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
