A very special Water Innovation Forum with a focus on “Driving Adoption of Sustainable Water Solutions in Ontario’s Food and Beverage Industry” is being hosted by OCETA and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs on Thursday, June 2nd, 2011 at the Mississauga Convention Centre.
The Forum will bring together leading food and beverage processing companies, product and service providers, academia, government, and other sector stakeholders to have a meaningful discussion on water use and its connection to increased competitiveness and sustainability. The day will focus on specific water use challenges and opportunities facing the industry, and the development of strategies and actions to accelerate adoption of sustainable water solutions.
The day will begin with an overview of the drivers for adoption of sustainable practices and how water is being used in Ontario's Food and Beverage Sector. There will be an opportunity to hear from companies such as Frito-Lay Pepsico, Kraft Foods and Algoma Orchards along with others as they share their implementation and future considerations in this regard.
"Adopting Sustainable Water Solutions" and "The Current and Future Role of Policy and Regulation" will be the focus of the afternoon discussions and both have some wonderful panel experts joining the discussion.
