Fall is here and we are officially starting it with some dynamic learning segments designed to broaden our horizons on a variety of levels! Mark your calendars and join in on an opportunity to share experiences and to network with your peers from the Food and Beverage Industry and our Special Guest Speakers at these awesome upcoming F&B SIG Learning Events: "Leveraging Your Customer Relationships" - October 7th, 2009, "Building and Strengthening Industry Partnerships" - October 26th-30th, 2009, and our
"Leveraging Your Customer Relationships", Peter Vandeweg of PWV & Associates Supply Chain Consulting and Neil Lester of "First Oak Hospitality" will be leading discussion on the importance of collaboration and partnerships, of leadership and innovation, and Profit Management and the impact that can result as we strive to be competitive in a very global marketplace. Peter and Neil will be drawing on a combined experience of 50 years in the Food and Beverage Industry and have a wealth of knowledge to share. This is a topic that should touch every key function area in an organization! This special Event is being held on October 7th, 2009 in Milton from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
"Building and Strengthening Industry Partnerships" is a special Food and Sector Event that will be running across the Province in Cornwall (October 26th, 2009), Napanee (October 27th, 2009), Richmond Hill (October 28th, 2009), Woodstock (October 29th, 2009) and Chatham (October 30th, 2009). These sessions are designed to bring our Community Partners and the Programs they support and those in Industry together to learn where opportunities might exist to aid us in business retention, growth and competiveness. We are also thoroughly delighted to have Guest Speakers from L&S Food Corp., (Carp, ON) Griffith Laboratories, (Toronto, ON), Karma Candy (Hamilton, ON) and Bonduelle Foods (Tecumseh, ON) participating with their perspectives on business growth, fostering partnerships and tapping into opportunities through Programs or assistance that our Community Partners might afford! This promises to be a very, very, very interesting morning in each of our venues beginning at 7:30 am and concluding at Noon!
An "Employment Labour Update" will be the final session of our Food and Beverage Events for 2009 and we are delighted to have Hicks Morley joining us for these informative sessions! We will be journeying across the Province visiting Kingston and Peterborough on November 24th, 2009, Brampton/Bolton and Brantford on November 25th, 2009 and Guelph and Chatham Area on November 26th, 2009. Our Guest Speakers will bring us up to date on the latest legislative issues complete with current case studies. We will also be exploring Emergency Leave and Attendance issues particularly in light of the H1N1 Virus and our speakers are always willing to address any questions you may have not only on our topics at hand but also on Labour Issues in general. These are always extremely value-added, informative, up-to-date Events with the latest news on issues as examples!
