Involvement in EMC’s GF2 Food, Beverage and Bio Sector activities always provides an occasion for companies to engage with peers on issues of industry relevance! We invite you to make the most out of continuous improvement networking opportunities for your business and look forward to welcoming you to two stellar events coming up in June showcasing best practices, successful journey’s and key resources essential to your company’s growth!
With sun and warmth finally here, it’s a great time to plug in coordinates and chart a path to HFS-Healthcare Food Services in Ottawa who have kindly offered to Host what promises to be a most excellent session on Sustainability and Energy Management!
Our Guest Presenter is Beau’s Brewing Company. Beau’s is a proud environmental steward and leader in sustainable craft brewing. In 2014 Beau’s became the first craft brewery in Canada to choose 100% green energy for both electricity and natural gas needs.
We are also very pleased to have Provision Coalition joining us to showcase their amazing Online Sustainability Portal. This is a tremendous and easy to use resource that can render essential information and benchmarking data and is available to any food and beverage company across Canada.

Taking full advantage of exploring possibilities for our business – our second GF2 Food Sector Networking Event will be held in the City of Mississauga and is dedicated to focusing on “Growing Your Business”! This very special session which is scheduled for June 16th, 2015 will bring together a variety of Community Partners and Service Providers who are there to help you deal with the myriad of challenges that might come your way as you consider moving to the next level – whatever that level might be – whether through facility requirements, labour needs, exporting, funding, etc.
We are thrilled to have Matt & Steve’s joining us to share their journey. Beginning in a small rented apartment over ten years ago creating a ‘Ceasar Garnish’, this company has experienced tremendous growth across Canada and into the US with a growing and exciting product line!
With participation from Economic Development, OMAFRA, Export Development Canada (EDC), Colliers International, Coldbox Builders, CPG Executive Search and Value Stream Solutions - it will be a busy morning – but well worth the visit – hope you can join us! Click for More Information
Lastly, it only seems fitting that the month of June should end with fun, relaxation and some down to earth peer networking with good weather, great clubs, a plethora of brightly coloured golf balls (those might be for me…), and positive spirits! Yes, I am referring to our annual EMC Golf Tournament and on behalf of our entire Team at EMC, we hope that you are able to join us in what is always a fun and amazing day! We will be at the Legacy Ridge Golf and Country Club which has the most beautiful views of Georgian Bay (which I can appreciate moreso than most whilst looking for those disappearing brightly coloured golf balls…)!
If you would like to participate in our best-ball tournament which is set for June 18th, 2015 – let us know – we would love to have you do so! Click here for an amazing day of Golf and Peer Networking!
Taking part in a peer networking activity is simply a great way to broaden horizons and with that thought in mind, we hope you will activate your GPS and join us this June in Ottawa, Mississauga and Owen Sound for three amazing events designed to help you connect with others and get your ideas running!
All the best as always!
