Excellence In Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) is VERY, VERY excited to be partnering with Natural Resources Canada and the Canadian Industrial Program for Energy Conservation (CIPEC) on a special one-day workshop that will afford participants the opportunity to look at ways to maximize energy management performance.
On October 30th, 2013, we invite you to join us in Milton as we explore best practices relating to energy management and examine the merits of ISO 50001 implementation. The day's agenda is BURSTING with OPPORTUNITY!!
We will be starting with case study presentations by Doug Dittburner, Manager Power Services, for Campbell Company of Canada and Martin Vroegh, Environment Manager, St. Mary's Cement and these will be followed by Phil Dick of OMAF/RA who will be providing an overview of the Leaner, Cleaner and Greener Manual (which all delegates will receive)!
Our luncheon keynote speaker is Helmi Ansari, Director of Sustainability and Productivity with PepsiCo Foods/Frito Lay Canada. PepsiCo has made some tremendous inroads relating to energy management practices and reducing their impact on the environment - their objective quite simply is "zero waste". Helmi will be speaking to their ongoing journey with respect to sustainability initiatives - a definite opportunity for benchmarking!
Participants will spend the afternoon in an informative ISO 50001 Workshop with facilitators Steven Dixon, President of TDS Dixon Inc. and Lauri Gregg, Principal, of the LCG Energy Management Group.
As with all EMC activities, there will definitely be time for networking with your peers on issues relating to energy! We are also delighted to provide opportunities for key suppliers to participate in a mini-show as well.
Without a doubt, this will be an EXCELLENT learning opportunity - a great time to connect with key industry partners NRCAN and CIPEC - and definitely to develop relationships with our case study and keynote presenters and suppliers!
If you are interested in participating, please touch base with Bren (bedeleeuw .org) at your earliest convenience. (The cost for this event is $35.00 plus HST which includes lunch and refreshments).
On behalf of our industry partners - NRCAN and CIPEC - and our Presenters and mini-show Participants - we look forward to having you join us!
All the best!
