August 2013 Market Overview

By Margaret Harrison

A cooler second half of summer has resulted in lower natural gas and electricity hedge prices. Prices are expected to remain low until winter weather forecasts start to appear, likely in the 4-6 week timeframe.

We are seeing very attractive commodity prices for both natural gas and electricity in 2014 and 2015.

We recommend approving hedge targets that can be executed in September.

For more information on the current recommended price strategies please contact Margaret Harrison at 905-635-3265.
