EMC's energy group initiatives are helping manufacturers tackle the rising cost of energy, strategic energy management and efficiency/sustainability challenges. Regardless of the prevailing business, economic and political rhetoric... what you do today will help your future bottom line.
What You Do Today Will Help Your Future Bottom Line
Have you ever been the lucky recipient of someone “paying it forward?”
The gesture, built on the belief that positive acts will lead to others emulating, carrying on and repeating positive acts in the future. When multiplied by millions of people, the benefits to everyone involved can literally change the world for the better.
Ever thought about how to pay it forward for your business?
What can you do today to cause positive changes for your company in the future… your profitability, your people and everyone around you? This is the mindset EMC has with all of its initiatives and in particular, is at the heart of EMC’s Energy Group.
Rising costs of manufacturing are the number one issue facing industry today and energy is almost always at the top of that list. EMC is helping members with a holistic approach to dealing with this challenge, through a hybrid multi-supplier model for energy management that looks at 1) Managing energy costs; 2) Using energy more efficiently, and; 3) Developing energy strategies which help generate greater competitive advantages.
Additionally, EMC’s not-for-profit approach and a diverse high-volume mix of small, medium and large Ontario manufacturers (leveraged towards the same goals) are helping achieve sustainable results and energy cost savings for those who participate. These actions today are literally ‘paying it forward’ by creating real and sustainable results in the future.
In 2017 alone, EMC helped its energy group members save nearly $10 million – with repeatable annual results.
Our Goal is Not to Sell Energy
While we seek to help manufacturers grow and become more competitive, our goal is not to sell energy. EMC’s primary goal is to ensure members have the best information possible, to make informed decisions and achieve benefits that are otherwise not easily achieved without a group of industry working together.
Enrolling in EMC’s Energy Group is simple and will not disrupt any of your current services. EMC’s Energy Team does all the work and walks you through every step from an impact analysis on your current energy consumption and bills, to energy strategy development, project identification and even helping you to source funding/financing.
What Our Members Have to Say
“EMC’s Energy Group provides a valuable energy hedge service that literally comes with no strings attached. They provide detailed energy & gas market forecasts and make recommendations as to which forward contracts to enter into.
However, there is absolutely no pressure to do so and the client retains full control over which contracts to enter into and which to not participate in.
The Energy Group also provides value by supplying customized energy usage charts, so we can track our usage during peak, off-peak and weekends, on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Their staff has always been very professional and quick to respond to our inquiries.”
