CONTINUING ON THE LEAN JOURNEY and COMPLIANCE DOCUMENTATION: The first of two special events will feature the lean journey that Norfolk Fruit Growers Association has undertaken for the past several years. Welcoming input from their peers, a company overview, plant tour and discussion may yield additional suggestions for improvement for their facility. Current projects include eliminating waste on the corrugated line and raw product usage. Our second session will focus on Compliance Documentation. A timely subject in light of industry's increasing requirements for documentation and certification.

"PLANT COMMUNICATIONS" and "GLOBAL HARMONIZATION": This special event will feature an overview of Dart Cup followed by the sharing of best practices with regard to Plant Communications! We are also delighted to have Linda Magill, CHSC, joining us to share information regarding Global Harmonization - what is it and when is it going to happen?

ORGANIZING & PLANNING CI OPPORTUNITIES and FOCUSING ON HEALTH AND SAFETY: The first of two special events will feature an overview of Lance Canada Ltd. and Snyder's-Lance Incorporated followed by discussion on their approach for organizing and planning CI opportunities based on organizational needs and flexibility requirements. Our second session will focus on Health and Safety initiatives and in particular meeting compliance standards along with discussion on MSD, Noise/Chemical Exposure, Violence and Harassment in the Workplace, and PPE!

MANAGERS, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT, FINANCE, and HUMAN RESOURCES NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES: EMC Canada Food Sector Members with an interest in these roles are invited to participate with the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge Regional Consortium in back to back focus sessions.
