As the economy shows more signs of economic recovery companies need to think about and develop strategies to position themselves and to capitalize on growth opportunities. We will discuss M&A strategies and provide insight on how to leverage your business effectively and take advantage of M&A transactions.  Topics to be discussed include merger & acquisition strategy, target selection and screening, transaction execution (due diligence, valuations, tax structuring, IT due diligence, accounting structuring), capitalization and financing options, and merger integration (planning and execution). 

About the Speakers

Susan Mingie, Parnter Deloitte Susan Mingie, Partner leads the Financial Advisory practice in Southwestern Ontario providing advice to middle market clients.  Susan specializes in assisting clients with mergers & acquisitions, succession planning, and financial turnaround situations.  Her experience includes transactions deals involving small and large companies in the manufacturing and technology sectors.  Susan has also worked with the management of companies in financial distress to restructure their business. Susan is focused on manufacturing clients and is a member of the manufacturing industry group.  She is a chartered accountant, a chartered insolvency and restructuring professional and a Trustee in Bankruptcy.
