About the Speakers:
John Evans, Plant Manager, Ranpro Inc.
John's thirty-four year, dynamic, manufacturing career has been spent with companies like Levis Strauss, Norton Abrasives, Gunther Mele Packaging and now Ranpro Inc., located at Simcoe, Ontario. Positions held at these companies have ranged from Engineering Manager to Operations manager.
Safety is John's passion. He has chaired and sat as a member on many Joint Health and Safety Committees, has developed several Health and Safety Programs and managed WSIB claims. John is also active within the community and currently is a member of the local Shaping Fire-Safe Communities committee: a public fire safety leadership program developed for the Ontario Fire Service to develop a Master Fire Plan for Norfolk County as well as the Emergency Management Program Committee Industrial Sector Chair.
John's track record speaks for itself with more than 600 business days without a lost time accident at Ranpro Inc., his current employer. He believes that Safety at work improves the quality of life at both, the workplace and at home

Been working in Health & Safety, Claims Management and HR for 15+ years Specialize in Claims Management (occupational and non occupational disability), Return to Work, Health & Safety Prevention Specialize in WSIB claims management, return to work program, and NEER management Developed and implemented programs to assist in reducing and preventing injuries as well as reducing lost time resulting in cost reductions and process improvements.
Linden Gossen, National Health & Safety Officer, Sleeman Brewing & Malting Co. Ltd.
Linden Gossen is the National Health, Safety, and Security Manager for Sleeman Breweries. In his job he oversees the safety and security programs for over 800 employees in 4 provinces. His background is in education and he brings his passion for learning to the world of health and safety in manufacturing settings. Safety training, though often mandatory, should not be entrusted to people who don't share this passion.
Linden has worked as a teacher and trainer and has a OHS certificate from Ryerson University. He has been at Sleeman for over 14 years. He designed the Company's first OHSMS and oversees its implementation across Canada.
