Establishing and Effective MSD Prevention Program
Participants will gain an understanding of what is required to build and maintain an effective MSD Prevention Program. From 'Establishing a Foundation for Success" to "Communicating Results and Acknowledging Success", this interactive workshop will review the Ontario MSD Prevention Guideline. Attendees will work through a case study on how to recognize MSD hazards, choose appropriate risk assessments and implement controls.

About the Speaker:
Jennifer McGillis, Ergonomist, Ergo Inc.
Jennifer is a Certified Kinesiologist with a Masters of Science in Kinesiology, specializing in biomechanics. Jennifer has experience performing Physical Demand Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, developing and implementing Ergonomic Training Programs and assisting with the return to work of injured employees. She has assessed and redesigned a variety of workstation set ups, including standard computer workstations, multi-screen computer workstations, as well as libraries, bicycle repair and mailing stations. She has completed hands-on projects in the areas of Methods Time Management, Postural Occurrence Sampling and Occupational Safety Engineering, which included a 4-month Safety Audit of an industrial company.
Jennifer has developed effective teaching techniques as a Professor of Lifestyle Management at Georgian College. As a result, she is a dynamic speaker who specializes in providing informative and interactive Ergonomic Training Sessions.
