The program rewards firms that incorporate prevention measures into their daily business and EMC is wrapping up another very successful year for our SG initiative, benefiting EMC members with millions in potential premium rebate dollars through continuous improvement in H&S.

Ontario Safety Group

Maritime Safety Group

At the beginning of each year, your firm selects 5 safety elements that it will initiate or improve upon from the SG's Element List provided by the WSIB. Your firm will learn how to implement these initiatives by attending meetings, sharing ideas and pooling resources with other firms in your SG.
Program Eligibility:
1. Have the commitment from the owner or senior management to participate.
2. Be committed to participating for a least one calendar year.
3. Participate in 1 safety group at a time.
4. Not be a member of the Safe Communities Incentive Program (SCIP)

At the beginning of each year, your firm selects 4 safety elements that it will initiate or improve upon from the Safety Group's Element List provided by Amanda at the beginning of the year. Your firm will learn how to implement these initiatives by attending meetings, sharing ideas and pooling resources with other firms in your safety group. 
Program Eligibility:
1. Have commitment from the owner or senior management to participate
2. Be committed to participating for a least one full calendar year
3. Participate in only one safety group at a time

How Do I Get Started?

It's easy… EMC members just contact our Safety Group Administrator (Amanda Doman) and she will guide you through the entire process, consisting of completion of a simple information form, followed by a planning meeting to help you choose your five elements.  If you are not an EMC member, Amanda will walk you through that easy process as well… EMC assists you every step of the way!
