THRC-Harvard Supervisory Certificate Program
In partnership with EMC, Participants in this professional certificate program will have access to world-class content and expertise, while connecting with peers to share best practices and expand their professional networks. This program will encourage the development of critical leadership and other management skills.

Program Details
Prerequisite: Management approval (Managers of program participants are expected to provide ongoing support and feedback, as well as validate the company case study and provide business impact measurements).Mandatory Requirements: Supervisors and their direct managers must commit to program participation and completion.
Who Should Participate: Companies should register supervisors who bring to the program a key issue or challenge they must deal with in their organization.
Program Objectives: To provides supervisors with leadership skills and the ability to actively contribute to meeting the goals of their company/organization.
Duration: 60 hours over 3 months (~5 hours a week)
Timeframe: The program will run from March to May 2010 - See Timeline
Cost: $1,850 per supervisor, plus applicable taxes. Significant discounts are available if your company registers four or more participants.

Study Outline
Leadership Skills (~10 hours online learning)

Case Study (~20 hours)
Participants will be asked to identify a case study topic based on a challenge being encountered in their workplace, to be discussed with the help of their industry and professional facilitators. Participants will present completed case studies to the group.
Meeting & Networking (~20 hours)
Facilitated online meetings will provide opportunities to discuss learning objectives and case studies, as well as network with other program participants. A one-day workshop will wrap up program activity.
Coaching & Mentoring
Coaching and Mentoring options include a series of customized, half day onsite sessions focused on strengthen problem-solving skills of teams from participating organizations. The onsite sessions will also provide guidance for development of the case studies undertaken by each team.
The fee for each half-day onsite session is $1,500 for up to five participants and $250.00 for each additional participant. A detailed reference document to strengthen problem-solving skills will be provided along with a customized action plan, tailored to meet your organization's needs.
