To better assist members and all manufacturers with access to world-class training and other continuous improvement opportunities, we created 'The EMC Learning Centre'... a value-added resource dedicated to the development and sourcing of training, continuous improvement and other skills development solutions.  EMC's network and not-for-profit model enables us to deploy advanced manufacturing initiatives with economies of scale and other cost savings that often results in much lower investment costs for participating manufacturers, while generating hundreds of millions of dollars in improvements, cost savings and increased economic input opportunities. 

EMC provides both INFORMAL LEARNING and FORMAL TRAINING opportunities.

Lean & Advanced Manufacturing Programs: 

EMC was recognized as the first organization in Canada to develop and launch a fully integrated Lean training & certification program for industry (AtoZ Lean) with the ability to certify your employees as 'do-ers'... meaning when they get back into your building they can actually implement what they have learn (and are certified to do so). EMC's Lean manufacturing program and initiatives are recognized as the most comprehensive Lean Manufacturing Program available in Canada today!

Health & Safety Programs:

have been custom designed to meet the needs of our members and to satisfy ever stringent H&S legislated requirements. Delivered for EMC, these programs provide participants with current 'best practices' and the necessary tools to implement effective health & safety programs in their facilities.

Online Health & Safety Training:

As one of the 'hot topics' that have been identified by EMC members, EMC as been actively working to develop and deliver on-line training for our members. This will provide web-based Health & Safety training (including Testing & Reporting) for Workers, Supervisors and Managers. This will also meet the health & safety training needs of companies with time and geographic location challenges which have made it difficult to engage traditional forms of training and skills development.

Hundreds of Online Training Programs

Our sponsored events are hosted throughout Canada and regardless of geographic location, members are able to participate in their own community, avoiding the added expense of travelling great distances for training & development.  EMC members also host training on-site, opening their doors to other member companies to share the cost of training activities (where possible), making it even more economical to have smaller groups of people trained locally.
