Prince Edward Island continuous Improvement, 5-S, H&S Event

February 10, 2010 08:30AM to 12:00PM  Export

Discussion Topic: Our host will discuss their process of continuous improvement using methods such as 5S. Jeff Ainslie, Continuous Improvement / Special projects Consultant for Transcontinental, will lead the group through an overview of the “best practices” used at many of their facilities.

This session will encourage sharing of best practices that I am sure will interest all of you. It does not matter what type of manufacturing you do, the concepts and ideas that we will discuss are applicable to any type of manufacturing process.

Because Health & Safety Issues were well represented as a topic of interest on the survey that so many of you responded to, there will be an hour or so of discussion regarding continuous Improvement relating to health & Safety. Please come prepared to rate your organization on a scale of 1 - 10 pertaining to safety practices. As well, what do you feel is your #1 safety practice or accomplishment? This will allow an opportunity for our participants to create a 'Health & Safety' networking plan moving forward.
