On Tuesday November 24th the Windsor Consortium of Excellence in Manufacturing was officially launched! The launch took place at the Fogolar Furlan Club with over 45 Windsor-Essex Manufacturing companies in attendance. They were there to hear from EMC President and General Manager Al Diggins how the EMC model of manufacturers working together in a local Consortium can strengthen the whole sector and help them all achieve world class.

  

The launch was an overwhelming success! Windsor-Essex manufacturers embraced Al's message and the EMC model and are looking forward to the Strategic Interest Group sessions which will be starting early in the new year. The group also heard a great value added session on Lean Manufacturing ideas and concepts delivered by EMC Partner Value Stream Solutions President Chad Metcalf. EMC would very much like to thank the folks at the Windsor-Essex Economic Development Commission for the incredible support with this event. In advanced we would also like to thank them for their continued support has the Consortium ramps up and events start taking place in Windsor.
