2010 has been a year of steady growth in Windsor Essex

Although manufacturing continues to be a tough sector for many, there has been cautious growth and continued triumph for this community.

It has been a year of struggle and growth in Windsor Essex.  As the area continues to re-invent itself, new companies continue to look to the skilled labour and manufacturing know-how of local companies.  Many of these companies are EMC members who have ulitized the Strategic Interest Group Events, along with other supportive programs that EMC offers, to continue to thrive and build on their successes.

As with the growth of the manufacturing sector, EMC membership has grown quickly in the 8 months the consortium has been active.  Members in the area include Bondeulle, Hiram Walker, Valiant Machine & Tool, Laval Tool, Reko International, Advanced Machining Services, Anchor Lamina, Centerline, Envision Machine & Technology, Southwestern Manufacturing and Northstar.  The idea of 'sharing and stealing with pride' is a newer concept in this area.  Many members have been surprized by the level of openess and collaboration they are seeing from other member companies.  As with all the other Consortium areas, many are just realizing the benefits of networking and sharing ideas and I predict that 2011 will be a year filled with excitement, as many member companies continue build on the successes of this year.

A great big "thank you" goes out to all who have aided in my transition to supporting this community.  I look forward to continuing to work to understand your needs and bring you to the best services and opportunities that will help elevate you acheive your dreams for the future.
