EMC Doing What It Does Best In Nova Scotia....

Three local members throw their doors wide open to a group of staff from P.E.I. member Trout River Industries.

As part of their ongoing efforts to educate and empower their staff Trout River Industries of Coleman P.E.I. sent a bus load of staff on a three plant tour of members in Nova Scotia. Local members Nautel, Trecan Combustion and GN Thermoforming were asked to support another member and did a great job. These members were asked to show the team from P.E.I what they do and how they do it. Although the end products were far different than what they normally make at home the group from Trout River were able to see how production flowed through each shop, they saw great examples of visual management and got to see some pretty cool stuff!

Mark, Thomas and Keith at GN Thermoforming explain the process involved in turning a large amount of parts into a world class thermoformer.

Hats off to everyone at the local plants who allowed this day to happen and to committing their time to this. As well congratulations to everyone at Trout River who support and encourage this degree of education for their staff. The doors at Trout River are always open to EMC members who are able to make the trip to the island.
