We had Great turn out at last month's Strategic Interest Group Meeting at PGI Fabrene in North Bay. We had representatives from J&J Machine Works, North Bay Machining Center, Minesteel, Goodyear and NRC-IRAP to name a few. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome new member

Hello all,
There was interesting discussion at our northern SIG event's in Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and North Bay this past week with regards to the Hydro benefits Charges. It seems most organizations are not aware of these charges and what they are for. John Spencer from PGI Fabrene wrote an article on it for our last EMC update, volume 18.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Luc Champagne and the North Bay Machining Center Inc. for hosting last month’s SIG event at their facility in North Bay. During the session in North Bay, our discussion revolved around the importance of visually managing the shop floor, as well as the office. It was noted that, a well manage visual environment would allow anyone to step in, and at a glance have a good understanding of how that area is performing within a couple minutes.
