Here we are at the end of March and can certainly boast of the great networking / learning events that we have had so far in 2010. Credit has to go to those who take the time to escape their busy day in order to participate but also to our hosts who offer their facilities to the group; those who provide overviews of their company and plant tours. On April 8th, 2010, Dew Engineering in Miramichi will be welcoming our Supervisor / Lead Hand Strategic Interest Group to their facility. This is a multi-consortium event with folks attending from different areas throughout New Brunswick and for this event, Prince Edward Island too. This SIG takes place every eight weeks and is hosted in different areas throughout the province.

The good folks at Atlantic Wallboard welcomed EMC members and guests from various parts of New Brunswick for the Saint John / Charlotte County networking Event. This special 'Best Practice' Event highlighted the Employee Optimization philosophies of Trout River Industries, of Coleman PEI, and we were very appreciative to have Darrin Mitchell (GM) and Crystal Matheson HR Manager) offer their time to "Share with Pride".

Darrin and Crystal were able to capture an attentive audience as they explained the philosophies that their organization hold regarding their supply chain and it's components. Trout River has initialized various processes relating to customers, supplies, etc., but for the purpose of this learning event the focus was on the people and the culture portion, which they believe to be a crucial component of continued success.
