Dew Engineering Hosts and Celebrates - Congrat's on 240 Days of "No Lost Time' Accidents
BEYOND BUY-IN: CHANGING WORKPLACE CULTRE THROUGH CULTURE FORMING HABITS
As usual, it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to visit Dew Engineering in Miramichi for our February networking event addressing 'Quick and Effective Change in the Manufacturing Environment'. It certainly was an added bonus to learn that they had reached 240 days of no lost time accidents.
This facility, in my time of having the pleasure of working with them, has been progressive in the management of both people and processes. They are continually working to improve processes through Lean and Six Sigma practices while ensuring that the 'people' and policy side of the business is solid, complimented with a dedication to the Health and Safety of their workforce.

Value Added Lunch & Learn Event - Understanding Supply Chain Management
In beginning to discuss 'Supply Chain Management' throughout various consortiums, it has become evident that few, including myself, have a true understanding of the scope of the topic. I am very pleased that both Terry Shear, of TM Shears and Associates, and the folks at Enterprise Miramichi are offering their knowledge and expertise to this event.
Terry began the event with an overview of the following points;
- Demystifying supply chain management - definition, supply chain processes, types of supply chains, visibility and traceability, trends, expectations, benefits
