EMC has always held Health, Safety and Environmental issues in the fore front of our activities with the Manufacturing community and in order to ensure the highest level of service we are making the following organizational announcement:

Laura Rourke will be taking the lead role with our H&S initiatives in New Brunswick starting immediately. Laura has:

• Managed Environment, Health and Safety operations for the multi-site Canadian Division of a rubber mixing and automotive parts manufacturer. Most recently a global electronics/communications company manufacturing operations.  She started her career managing a landfill site.
• 15 years Environment, Health & Safety Management
• Is both an Environmental Engineer and a Canadian Registered Safety Professional
• Implemented and managed multi-site ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
• Will be an excellent resource to members on topics such as environmental requirements; safety legislation; claims management and return to work; due diligence; wellness;

Laura's vast experience, energetic personality and dedication to New Brunswick Manufacturers will indeed, support a 'Made in New Brunswick' Safety culture. Doug Rourke will continue to provide his expertise in assisting Laura with the Safety Group Pilot, currently underway.

Amanda Doman will be dedicated to the administration of EMC's Safety initiatives in New Brunswick. Amanda has several years experience in managing the administration of Safety Group activity with hundreds of manufacturers. Health and Safety is key to the success of manufacturing in New Brunswick, EMC is dedicated to making it a priority. In addition to the activities in New Brunswick, over time, these programs and services may be expanded into the balance of the Maritime Provinces.
