Regional SIG Event with MOL a Great Opportunity for MWO Consortium Members
On Wednesday October 28th at the North London Community Centre the London/Oxford Consortium along with the Midwestern Ontario Consortium joined together for a very special SIG Event in conjunction with the London Regional Manufacturing Council. This special SIG Event featured the Ontario Ministry of Labour presenting the “Safe at Work Ontario” Program. This also counted as one of the EMC Safety Groups mandatory session for 2009 if your company is part of the Safety Group
For this session we were pleased to welcome the Ontario Ministry of Labour.
The Ministry of Labour provided the group with an overview of what they will be focusing on now and in the future pertaining to manufacturing.

Throughout my travels visiting MWO EMC Member companies I have come to realize that managing a Consortium which is mainly "rural" presents different challenges than managing Consortiums that are based in "urban" areas. The big thing I have found is that travel to the SIG events, especially in the winter months which can be a big challenge for members.

The MWO first SIG Session of the year was at Benshaw Controls in Listowel.
