2009 has been another great year for the London/Oxford Consortium of Excellence in Manufacturing. The Consortium experienced some incredible growth this year with the addition of 20 new member companies.
2009 has been another great year for the London/Oxford Consortium of Excellence in Manufacturing. The Consortium experienced some incredible growth this year with the addition of 20 new member companies.
As of the end of December the London/Oxford Consortium is made of 86 Manufacturing Companies. All 86 companies see the value of working together to share best practices and benchmark.
The SIG Sessions in 2009 were incredibly well attended! With an average of 40 individuals at each session, a marked improvement of the average of 8 people at each session from a few short years ago. The London/Oxford Consortium is one of if not the most engaged Consortiums in all of EMC….so thank you for that!
To start 2010 we have a great session planned at Keiper Automotive. Bob Cook, Plant Manager of Keiper is one of the foremost Lean/Continuous Improvement guru's in the area! Bob and the staff at Keiper will be providing the group with a "Lean Ideas and Concepts" refresher with some new twists and ideas they have developed. This will be a great way to start the year getting everyone excited about implement continuous improvement throughout all aspects of their operation. As always anyone from any member facility is welcome, the date will be Wednesday January 27th in the morning….more details to follow when I send out the event invites in the coming weeks.
Thank you all for your involvement with EMC this past year. It is the members that make it successful which you have all done! I have no doubt that 2010 will even be more successful!
