The OEB has released the new RPP rates effective May 1, 2010 to October 31, 2010.

For conventional meters the 2 Tier rates are:

Tier 1   6.5 cents/kWh  (was 5.8) up to the threshold of 600 kWh per month in the summer for residential consumers and 1000 kWh in the winter

Tier 2   7.5 cents/kWh  (was 6.7) for the balance of monthly consumption

Note:    A business that is on the RPP rates has a monthly threshold of 750 kWh all year long.

For Time of Use meters and assuming the consumer is billed by the utility on TOU rates (coming soon to all consumers):

 Off Peak Rate  5.3 cents/kWh  (was 4.4)

 Mid Peak Rate 8.0 cents/kWh  (was 8.0)

 On Peak Rate  9.9 cents/kWh  (was 9.3)

Note that all RPP rates INCLUDE an estimate of the Global Adjustment by the OEB (forecast to be 2.772 cents/kWh for these rates).
